West Palm Beach Homes May Be Better Protected with Synthetic Roofing Tiles

Although West Palm Beach homes were not the hardest hit by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, local homeowners did end up with quite a bit of damage. While flooding was the primary problem, the strong and fast winds damaged countless numbers of local roofs.

In response to the needs of Florida homeowners, national manufacturers have sped up the production and distribution of synthetic roofing materials. These manufacturers are convinced that now more than ever homeowners will choose the more durable synthetic roofing materials than traditional wood or slate tiles when repairing their West Palm Beach homes.

Synthetic tiles are generally fire resistant, impact resistant, high wind resistant and “UV-resistant to avoid fading.” Manufacturers also claim that their products are “key to reducing claims and holding down insurance rates” on West Palm Beach homes.
